Welcome
...to all the friends we've made during the last seven retreats and to all the new friends we look forward to meeting in 2012. We very much enjoy our growing sisterhood from women from all over the country! This year we are exploring a theme from Romans 8:37 called MORE THAN A CONQUEROR THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.
Romans 8:35 asks the question about what can possibly separate us from the love of Messiah giving a list of difficulties and perils. Romans 8:38 & 39 gives another list of possibilities, but Rav Shaul answers the question saying that nothing can separate us from the love of G-d that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.
The love of Yeshua is the key to being more than a conqueror. And this is not being a conqueror halfway. He says that we will be MORE than a conqueror. Why didn't he say we'd be more than a conqueror through Him who strengthens us, or increases our faith, or gives us power, or provides for us, or who teaches us? Why would they be concerned about being separated from G-d? Why does G-d's love give us what we need? What IS G-d's true love?
These are not academic questions. Many women are currently in difficult situations. How can we be more than a conqueror in financial problems? Marital problems? Problems with children? Grief? Physical problems? Health issues? Relationships? This year's retreat is going to explore how we can be more than a conqueror in any situation through Him who loved us. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with Him graciously give us all things? Rom 8:32
Even with such a powerful topic, we plan on having a fun and amazing time. This weekend will be filled with transparent, powerful teaching, testimonies, panel discussions, Yeshua-focused Messianic Jewish worship, joyous dancing, food, fun and fellowship. And if you join us it will be that much better!
